About Jose

Jose B Lopez moved to the United States at an early age and like many others worked in the agriculture industry in California. He then later decided to Move to McMinnville Oregon, where he fell in love with all the greenery and decided this would be his home. Since then, his idea of owning his own business came to be. He worked for Robinson Nursery Inc., where he grew his passion for plants and understanding the nature of landscaping. In 2005 his business idea came to life when he started his Landscaping company with $75.00 and a borrowed trailer. 

None of this would have happened without the support of his wife, Maria, and now both of them are working for the company. They live with their 2 daughters, Amaireni and Julianna, and their dog, Hiccup.

Doing the right thing has always been important for him and he believes that’s the way to be successful in business and in life. In almost 18 yrs of business his goal is to always train his staff to do their best and provide quality work. It is very important for him to maintain a good reputation for his business, his life and work ethic. He values all of his staff and wants them to receive the knowledge needed for them to grow with him as well.

His career has given him the opportunity to get involved in the community. He is involved with the McMinnville Chamber of Commerce, serving as a board member and Ambassador, He’s also a member of Sources Networking Group. Jose was also selected to be a board member for the Oregon Contractors Board for the state of Oregon. He enjoys volunteering and meeting new people.

His mom, Francisca Olmedo, a resilient single mother of four, taught her son that with determination and a strong work ethic, anything is achievable. Her example of perseverance and dedication continues to inspire him throughout his journey.
